Fifteen photographic prints in large format of Martin Parr’s shots on the theme of food are exhibited for the first time in the city’s urban fabric creating a route of images through the city’s most evocative locations in the historic centre.
In “Food” Parr comments with irony on the global consumer society’s relationship with food by using coloured lollipops, smiling muffins, “patriotic” doughnuts… In short, a “cheap” world where the ordinary becomes extraordinary and serial images become unique pieces.
