Nils Mühlenbruch
Nils Mühlenbruch is an audio and visual artist and VJ performer known as DRIFTER TV and VJ HUMMER. Together with audio producer and DJ, DJ Drifter (Remko van der Drift), he forms the audiovisual live act DRIFTER TV and has performed on stages in the Netherlands and abroad.
DRIFTER TV is a multimedia project in which animation, VJ performance, painting, and interactive installations are combined and connected through a central theme; The Drifters. These alien scouts, unfamiliar with earthly habits and uses, repeatedly run into bizarre and surrealistic situations. A strong narrative character and a clear and colourful visual language distinguish the DRIFTER TV show.
Currently Nils Mühlenbruch presents himself as VJ HUMMER and collaborates with various audio producers and DJ’s. The VJ set of VJ HUMMER shows a kaleidoscopic mix of both everyday and exceptional images and sounds. By connecting casual observations from daily life with images from the media he creates a new and surprising reality.
